Failure Mode Avoidance Practitioner Training with Certification

We are exclusively offering this pragmatic method to avoid product failures during the development process. You will be introduced to the methodology by experienced Failure Mode Avoidance experts supported by training material in English or, alternatively, German. The seminar will have a practical orientation; will be conducted in small groups and the participants will be coached to achieve certification.

Target Audience

Persons keen to detect and avoid product failures at an early stage, especially:

Aimed at participants from all industry sectors (e.g. renewable energy, automotive, aerospace, consumer products, electronics, medical devices etc.) of small & medium-sized businesses and global enterprises developing products.

Subject

The Failure Mode Avoidance method is a new, effective and particularly pragmatic approach to improve product reliability. The alternative Design for Reliability (DfR) method is based on complex reliability models and requires lifetime data of all system components in relation to noise factor conditions, which are often not fully known.

Instead of capturing how often a certain product failure occurs, the Failure Mode Avoidance approach identifies and avoids product failures in an early phase of the development process. Additionally this method, which is efficient and fast to conduct, concentrates mainly on improving verification tests to detect potential failure modes prior to production release. Noise parameters occurring in field are intelligently built into verification tests using logically combined tools. This is done to detect if these noise parameters cause product failure modes.

The application of this method in particular avoids recalls and damage to your corporate image, and yields a reduction of warranty and courtesy costs, an increase of customer satisfaction, less design rework and re-releases, as well as shorter development times.

Objectives & Benefits

After a successful participation in the seminar the participants will have acquired the following skills:

Contents

The method consists of a unique, structured set of logically combined tools, which can be applied fast and successful:

Execution

In this intensive seminar the participants will be introduced to the Failure Mode Avoidance method and learn the tools necessary for application. The method will be practiced in groups by applying typical tools to a case study that runs across the training. Subsequent to the seminar it is planned that the participants complete a project using the Failure Mode Avoidance method.

The selection of an appropriate project can be supported by an experienced trainer during the seminar. As we consider it absolutely necessary to apply the acquired skills to a project as soon as possible, specific coaching is an important element for a successful completion of a Failure Mode Avoidance project. We recognize this need of professional support after the seminar and offer individual coaching via email and phone to every participant.

Certification

The participant will get a confirmation of attendance after completing the seminar and passing the exam on the last day. The exam will be a written multiple choice test and takes one hour for all participants.

After passing the Failure Mode Avoidance exam and the successful completion of the project the participant will receive the “Failure Mode Avoidance Practitioner – CERTIFICATE”.
