Methodology Overview
Innovensys continues to define the leading edge in structured innovation and creativity as well as quality disciplines to assist our clients in achieving operational excellence and technical leadership. Our strengths are in our result-oriented application and true integration of these disciplines in product creation phases. These phases cover the entire range from idea creation to product realization. It enables companies to:
- create unique product ideas driven by solid consumer insights and technology viewpoints,
- formulate and develop product concepts that exceed expectations and excite consumers,
- optimize product functional behavior after thorough understanding of the underlying physics,
- ensure that product failure modes are detected and eliminated before they escape into the field,
- optimize the value stream of the product realization process and eliminate its operational defects.
Innovensys offers five different structured methodologies that are illustrated in the picture above: Lean Six Sigma, Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA), Design for Six Sigma (DfSS), Design for Reliability (DfR) and Systematic Innovation. The methodologies have evolved over time and follow so-called S-curves. In the field of innovation these S-Curves illustrate the introduction, growth, and in one specific case even the maturation of a methodology. Each methodology has specific objectives, a defined roadmap and a set of tools to apply. Select a curve to learn more about a methodology.
